We're mighty lucky Paul Chasman got his inspiration for The Book of Bob because it's going to help all of us laugh and think and change and laugh some more . . . so much wit and wisdom . . . I've converted my old holiday gift list, and scratched out a lot of other things, and written in The Book of Bob.

In the beginning, Bob didn't plan to start a religion; it just happened.
So begins a wild and fantastic ride through the fictional Free Nation, satirizing religious fanaticism, politics, and human fumbling. The plot is driven by a host of quirky characters who dash drunkenly through the house of mirrors of Western culture, dissecting with pinpoint precision the absurdity, tragedy, and hilarity of the human race.

Paul Chasman, PNW Regional Author

Paul Chasman is a professional guitarist, teacher, and composer. Following the United States' invasion of Iraq, Chasman began a year-and-a-half of daily letter writing during which a cast of characters wrote letters of advice and constructive criticism to the famous, the infamous, and the "current administration." Chasman set up a web site: www.thecarlletters.com on which he posted these letters and subsequent replies. During the 2004 American presidential elections, Chasman devoted his time to the Carl Letters and other political activities. The day after the elections, Paul Chasman began writing The Book of Bob.
