The American Booksellers
Association is a not-for-profit organization devoted to
meeting the needs of its core members of independently owned
bookstores with retail storefront locations through
advocacy, education, research, and information
dissemination. The American Booksellers
Foundation for Free Expression is the bookseller's voice in
the fight against censorship. Literacy
Organizations Regional trade
organizations promote independent booksellers, books and
authors in their respective regions. They offer annual
tradeshows, work as advocates for free speech, monitor
censorship issues and support literacy projects
nationwide.
